Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:23-24
who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness— by whose stripes you were healed.
Of course,Jesus Christ sometimes physically heals us when we pray for our physical healing. But the purpose of God by offering Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for our sins is to give us spiritual healing. The spiritual healing is a permanent healing. It will make us live forever with God.The physical healing we always long for,is temporary ,but the spiritual healing that people do not long much is permanent and for ever.
1 John 5:14-15
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
If we ask for our healing according to His will,God hears us.God wills to heal us spiritually and permanently. If we ask for our physical healing God may will to heal us,but not always the case.Sometimes we die physically, and yet spiritually live forever with God. When we believe in Jesus Christ, the greatest plan and will of God is to heal us spiritually.God still performs miracles. God still heals people. Sickness, disease, pain, and death are still realities in this world. Unless the Lord returns, everyone who is alive today will die, and the vast majority of them (Christians included) will die as the result of a physical problem (disease, sickness, injury). It is not always God’s will to heal us physically.Even if we die in our physical death, the Holy Spirit makes us rise to life again.
Finally, our complete physical healing awaits us in heaven. In heaven, pain, sickness, diseases, suffering or death will no longer exist. In heaven we will be given “physical bodies”, but our bodies will have the glory of God . The Bible says the body is sown in corruption,it is raised in incorruption
1 Corinthians 15:42-44
So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
Revelation 21:1-2, 4, 6-7
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
Whether or not God grants us physical healing in this world, we can trust His goodness and focus our hope on heaven where we will no longer have to deal with physical problems.
Revelation 21:4
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passe
Mark 5:25-34
Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
When Jesus says “ your faith has made well to a woman who had an issue of blood, this healing of Jesus Christ was more than physically healing. That woman was spiritually healed as well.
Jesus Christ makes more miracles for the people who believe in Him.
Matthew 13:58
Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
We need to have faith in Jesus Christ to get healed. Our faith in Jesus Christ triggers off our spiritual healing and our physical healing, especially in heaven. The power to heal, however,is in Jesus Christ and on our faith .Jesus sees our faith and heals us physically or spiritually. Our faith activates our healing.
There are people that Jesus Christ wills to heal without having faith in Him.
The man born blind in
John 9: 1-11
Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing. He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight.”
Jesus deals with the man’s physical problems separately from dealing with his spiritual need. The man is healed without having faith in Jesus Christ.
Nevertheless ,the man comes to a full realization of who Jesus Christ is and exercises faith in Him
John 9:25, 35-38
He answered and said, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.” Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of God?” He answered and said, “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?” And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.” Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him.
Sometimes, people get healed because Jesus Christ wills to heal them, not because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus’ healing of these the people without faith is not about their faith .It is about the will of God to get these people healed.Everyone whom Jesus wills to be healed is healed. Jesus Christ heals those who express their faith in Him.Jesus Christ makes a point of emphasizing the condition of their heart:
“Your faith has made you well.”
Jesus Christ ,in His great mercy, also heals those who has no faith in Him.He draws them to Himself.
