ISAIAH 11:2
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord .
Through your faith in Jesus Christ, the Spirit of the Lord rests upon you.The Spirit of wisdom is upon you.The Spirit of understanding is upon you .The Spirit of counsel is upon you.The Spirit of might is upon you.The Spirit of knowledge is upon you and the Spirit of the fear of the Lord is upon you .
Therefore, there is no reason to fear anything for God with His Seven Folded Holy Spirit is with you.The fact hat there are seven Spirits of God does not mean that God has seven Spirits,That there are seven Spirits of God does not mean that God has seven Spirits, but it means that the “Holy Spirit of God is Seven-Folded”
David says
Psalms 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Believe that Jehovah is with you at all times. Satan has no power to deprive us of our rights to be God’s children. We have been sealed with eternal life by our God with the power of the Holy Spirit.
1 John 4:4
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world
As we believe in Jesus Christ, our sins are forgiven and God is fully restored back to us. All the seven Spirits of the God are upon us .As we walk God is with us .He is our shepherd we do not want.
Psalms 23 1
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Judges 6:14-17
Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?” So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.” And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.” Then he said to Him, “If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talk with me.
The presence of the seven Spirits of God does not mean that God has seven Holy Spirits, but it means that the Holy Spirit is Seven – Spirit Folded:

Revelation 1:4-5
John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Revelation 3:1
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
God has all knowledge. He has all power. God is in heaven and everywhere at the same time. He is able to see everything done by His Church on earth, both good and evil. God knows that the Church is surrounded by people who do not want to believe in Jesus Christ, but God wants to see the Church keeping their faith in Jesus Christ. What unites God and the Church is faith in Jesus Christ. No faith in Jesus Christ,no relationship with God.Failure to have faith in Jesus Christ makes God unhappy. The church at Sardis in Revelation 3:1 was surrounded by paganism and idolatry but failed to stand out amidst the darkness.
The Church of Sardis could not come out and make it clear that they are the Church of the living God. The Church did not separate themselves for the Lord. They did not believe in Jesus Christ alone. They also worshiped other gods. God does not want that. He says you shall have no other gods but me.
Exodus 20:3-6
“You shall have no other gods before Me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
As the Church we must appear spiritual on the inside and on the outside.Jesus knows our hearts. He has all power. He has all knowledge and He has an ability of being everywhere at the same time.Jesus Christ rebukes the people in the Church who have a reputation of being alive but they do not believe in Jesus Christ. They go with us but they have never accepted Jesus as there personal saviour.
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
The person who believes in Jesus Christ is alive. The person who does not believe in Jesus Christ is dead.
Such people are alling prey to a similar sin as the Pharisees, they are like whitewashed tombs: clean and white on the outside, but dead on the inside
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
Jesus offers a warning to the people in the Church who are Church goers reminding them of His judgment if they fail to “wake up” spiritually and accept Jesus Christ as their personal saviour
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
There was more work to do, and He would bring judgment swiftly upon the church of Sardis if they remained in their spiritual deadness. Using similar wording and imagery to descriptions of His second coming, Jesus said He would come “like a thief” at an unknown time to bring judgment upon Sardis unexpectedly. In prior history, the city of Sardis had been conquered by the Persians and the Romans, events that provided illustrations of Jesus’ sudden judgment on the church. Sardis’s congregation needed to heed Jesus’ command to remember, hold fast, and repent.
If you go to Church, but you never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal saviour you still have a chance to repent. Make up your mind, accept Jesus Christ today, your saviour and Lord.
Jesus commends the members of the Church who have not soiled their clothes. He gives a promise as they have faith in Him.
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcomes the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.Jesus Christ promised a blessing on those who believe in Him.
Jesus Christ shall walk with those who believe in Him.As we believe in Jesus Christ we are made worthy.
“They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy .We are victorious. We will be dressed in white.Jesus Christ will never blot out names from the book of life.He will acknowledge our names before His Father and His angels
Revelation 3:4 does not mean that people can lose their salvation.Once saved, always saved.Nothing can separate us from the love of God.
” Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.”
Jesus Christ gives a promise to His Church on earth. The promise of Jesus Christ is that the names of those who trust in Him can never be erased from the book of life.Continue to walk according to the promises of God.
When Jesus Christ came for the first time on earth the world did not accept Him.The Jewish rulers did not accept Him. Jesus Christ is Lord.He is God.He never changed .He continued to address the world as God
John 10:10-18
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
John 10:25-30
Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”
Although the church of Sardis received no communal commendation from the Lord, they still had a hope and a promise. Jesus urged them to wake up from their deadness, promising He would be faithful.
We the Church today, like the Church at Sardis,do have our weaknesses but our weaknesses do not deprive us our rights to inherit eternal life through our belief in Jesus Christ.Jesus Christ encourages us to repent from our iniquities and walk according to the promises God made for a His Church.
God will never leave, nor forsake us no matter what our conditions. He is our God.We are His Church.
Deuteronomy 31:8
And the Lord , He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”
This is the message of hope from our living God .The message of Him “who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars” was applicable to the church of Sardis and is still relevant today
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
As the Church today we have to review our position in the Lord.We need to determine whether we do trust and believe in Jesus Christ only or there are other altars that supersede our trust and faith in Jesus Christ. Though this world is full of democracies and many other Gods but we need to trust and have faith in Jesus Christ and love Him alone.
Many churches in the present time could be viewed as “spiritual” for their multiple programs, large crowds, and well-structured services. But it’s possible for a church to have the appearance of life while in reality being spiritually dead. Modern churches may need to take a careful spiritual inventory and “strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die”
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.
Those who are experiencing spiritual death and unfruitfulness should listen to Christ’s words to the church of Sardis and complete their duty before God.
Spiritual death means separation from God. The scriptures teach of two sources of spiritual death. The first source is the Fall, and the second is our own disobedience. Spiritual death can be overcome through the Atonement of Jesus Christ and by obedience to His gospel. Unfruitfulness means failing to produce or develop into fruit.Abiding in Jesus Christ and confessing our sins to Him will make us recover in spirit and produce the fruits
Proverbs 8:17
I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.
